Change of Season Throat Spray

This time of year and change of season often brings dry sinuses and dry, scratchy throats. As soon as I start to notice that scratchy feeling in the back of my throat, I mix up a simple soothing spray.

Whenever I’m feeling “not at my best” I can whip something up to combat it right in my kitchen. I love that! Not only is it toxin free, I don’t have to take the time to run out to the store. And let’s face it, when we’re not at our best the last place we want to be is at the store!

The vodka (or use demineralized water) in the recipe also brings antibacterial, antioxidant, and painkilling properties that are a perfect addition to the essential oils.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. glass spray bottle
  • 1 TBSP Vodka or demineralized water
  • 5 drops Clove+ essential oil
  • 4 drops Cinnamon Bark+ essential oil
  • 5 drops Lemon+ essential oil
  • 6 drops Peppermint+ essential oil
  • Demineralized Water

Directions:

Add the vodka or distilled water and essential oils to the spray bottle.
Swirl to mix.
Top off with filtered water and label.

Swirl bottle before each use.
Spray your throat 2-3 times as often as needed.
