What’s In Your Personal Care Products?

When I started looking at the ingredients in the personal care products I was using, it was an eye opener for me! In my sleuth investigation I found that the products weren’t as clean as the companies were claiming them to be. So I started looking deeper.

I found out that if an ingredient label has the word “fragrance” or “parfum” or “perfume” these represent an undisclosed mixture of “various” scent chemicals and “ingredients” used as fragrance dispersants, such as diethyl phthalate.

What are phthalates?
Phthalates is a family of industrial chemicals used to soften polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic and as solvents in cosmetics and other consumer products, can damage the liver, kidneys, lungs, and reproductive system.

Doesn’t this make you want to check your products right now?

Watch this interesting video. Then, go look at the ingredients on the label of some of your personal care products and see how many contain the ingredients; fragrance or parfum or perfume.
